"I've
been on MediFast for almost 9 months and I've lost 110 pounds. After
reading some of the reviews below, keep in mind most of negative
reviews didn't follow the plan. The most common error I read was "salad
for dinner" and 500 calories per day. This is incorrect. The "real
food" meal is once a day and a large quantity of food. It’s
called the
“Lean and Green” meal is 1 large portion of
meat/protein and 3 servings
of low carb veggies and this brings your daily calorie intake to
800-1000.
If you're on the fence about a meal-replacement
plan, Medifast is a NO
BRAINER! Commit to the plan for 4 weeks and be prepared to be amazed!"

"I
lost 65 pounds in 8 months. After many
failed attempts at dieting and combos of diet and exercise I decided to
go with guerilla tactics and put myself on a meal replacement diet
plan. This definitely takes all the guesswork and most of the
pre-planning out of losing weight which was certainly a plus for my
lifestyle which is fraught with unplanned events and frequent schedule
changes. The key to
success is personal commitment."

"I
have used Medifast in the past and lost 20 pounds (I would have lost
more, but then had to stop because I got pregnant). Anyways, I have
just started doing it again last Monday (11 days ago) I have lost 9.5
pounds in this time. I do not follow the diet strictly to the letter,
so I may have even better results if I did. For example, I had a greek
salad for dinner at a restaurant the other night. I did eat the cheese
and used the regular dressing, but not much of it. So in my opinion, it
works. It does take a couple of days to get used to the plan and the
shakes. I have found the vanilla and chocolate shakes are the best when
I add some de-caf instant coffee to them- then they taste more like a
iced mocha or something. Some of the oatmeals and bars are pretty good.

"The
Medifast diet has showed some very promising results in helping people
lose weight.
A John Hopkins University
study suggests that the Medifast
plan helps participants quickly and safely lose weight by decreasing
the amount of calories consumed. The study also suggests that
participants with Type 2 Diabetes lost 2x that of individuals adhering
to the American Diabetes Association's recommendation. Additionally,
Medifast shows results in participants with other illnesses, like
hypertension. ."

"THE
MEDIFAST PROGRAM
Medifast is physician supervised program available with unlimited
counseling and regular physical exams. This program can work for
anyone..if you need to loose 10 to 100+
pounds! It is packed with vitamins, minerals and has a main ingredient
of the 'super-health-food' soy. I feel that it is especially helpful
for those that have developed a disorder with food or are obese.
MY STORY
When you have totally lost sight of how food is utilized in your life,
then this is the perfect way to step 'out' of your situation and
relearn how and why to eat like a normal human being. For years food
has been my best friend (and enemy)..I used it to stuff away my
feelings. I kept complaining about not having any emotions...that I
couldn't feel love anymore..or true pain...because I ATE AWAY all those
emotions. I am learning that food is a fuel to help our bodies stay
alive and that it is a privilege to be able to actually enjoy the taste
of food along with keeping a healthy lifestyle.
PERMANENT WEIGHT LOSS?
You always hear that MEDIFAST will inevitably cause you to gain your
weight back. This is true for ANY weight loss program. Let's stick to
reality here. If WE do not remain steadfast and committed in taking
care of our bodies then yes..of course..the weight will come back. Only
with exercise, education about nutrition and a love of life can we stay
at a healthy weight. Medifast does work for those who decide to work
with IT."
